A fan of upcoming Nintendo Switch titles Pokemon Scarlet and Violet has recently shared their own take on a shiny version of Wiglett. Only recently revealed to the game's audience, the new Water-type Pokemon Wiglett has become the topic of many online fan theories and speculations that likely led to the fanbase using their imaginations to create their own visuals of the pocket monster.

With the launch of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet drawing nearer, it is not surprising for Nintendo to slowly be revealing more of the new Paldea region Pokemon. However, the Pokemon community likely considered the unveiling of Wiglett in late September quite interesting, given the mixed response the fans have towards the Water-type. Now, some fans are considering Wiglett to be a fake regional Pokemon, though many still seem to be amused enough by its design to still make fan art of the brand-new creature.

It was only a matter of time until one member of the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fanbase would make their own version of a shiny Wiglett. Redditor Positive-Extension15 did just so on the online forum, posting their fan art of a differently colored Wiglett to share with fellow fans of the upcoming titles. In their art, Wiglett's white body has turned into a bluish silver, while its pink nose has been colored purple. The artist even added some yellow stars around the Pokemon to indicate that it is indeed a shiny version of the Water-type.

A comment on the Reddit thread indicated that Positive-Extension15's shiny version of new Water-type Pokemon Wiglett is a pocket monster that they would definitely be on the lookout for. Another comment pointed out that this fan art of Wiglett reminds them of Gen 1 Pokemon Diglett. Fans will likely recall that the shiny version of Diglett also has a similar purple nose. With Wiglett being inspired by the Ground-type Pokemon, it is not surprising for Positive-Extension15 to take some features from Diglett and utilize them in their fan art.

However, it is probably wiser for the fanbase to wait until the official release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet to find out the true color scheme of a shiny Wiglett. Hopefully the fan art will be similar to the actual shiny version of the Water-type when the game is launched. That will likely give fan artists a sense of validation, especially to those who make their own versions of shiny Pokemon within the upcoming video games' community.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will release on November 18 for Nintendo Switch.
