Blizzard has shared a compilation of what you should know before Wrath of the Lich King Classic opens up later this month. They also released the list of global unlock times for the new expansion, which officially begins in 12 days.

If you're in the Americas, the expansion will unlock at 3 p.m. Pacific Time on September 26th. If you are in a UTC time zone, then it will unlock at 10 p.m. on September 26th. Everyone else will technically wait until the 27th. The expansion unlocks at midnight on the 27th in CEST, 6 a.m. in Taiwan, 7 a.m. in Korea, and 8 a.m. in Australia.

They've published the global release times alongside a couple of videos, including a brand new Wrath of the Lich King Classic Survival Guide video, which introduces, )or refreshes) what it will be like to get started in the expansion. It's more of an intro video to all the features you can expect, including all the areas and instances and even a bit of the plot and dangerous threat you’ll have to face if you decide to stop the Lich King in these frozen areas.

The rest of the hub is a series of previously shared guides, including level-based zone guides and a review of Death Knights and how to play one (and why they’re so different and integral to Warcraft lore). Find also guides to Inscription, and the devs talking about changes coming to some of the expansion content, including how The Battle For Wintergrasp will work this time around.

There’s an official countdown to release and the original announcement cinematic trailer from the spring when we knew that the next expansion was officially on the way.

Demand for the expansion’s new Fresh Start servers has been robust, with Blizzard opening additional new ones in NA and EU, and blocking new character creation on the first ones opened.

Head over to World of Warcraft for the complete WoTLK Classic hub.
