Saints Row's DLC "Criminal Customs" is provided to players who ordered certain editions of the game, and adds a couple of interesting new items. This guide will explain the DLC in detail.

A reboot of the Saints Row franchise, Saints Row was made by the Volition development studio, with Deep Silver as its publisher. In the fictional, gang-riddled, city of Santo Ileso, four friends decide to take things into their own hands by forming a gang and engaging in a variety of Criminal Enterprises for fun and profit.

How To Get the Criminal Customs DLC

Saints Row_Criminal Customs

The Criminal Customs DLC is included in the Gold Edition, Platinum Edition, Criminal Customs Edition, and Notorious Edition of the game as a pre-order bonus. There is currently no way to purchase the DLC separately, though previous games in the series have established a pattern of adding such DLC as a paid option later down the line. Notably, this DLC does not appear to be part of the Season Pass, meaning players who didn't preorder the game currently have no way to obtain it.

What's in the DLC?

Saints Row Weapon Customisation

The Criminal Customs DLC consists of two items: the Saints Olive, and the Saints Custom Stab Jacket. The Saints Olive is a custom convertible car that can be accessed from the garage in-game. The game has no shortage of cars to collect and customize, ranging from sports cars to food trucks, but having an extra available car at the start of the game can be handy as the Boss' starting vehicle is a bit beaten up.

The second item, the Saints Custom Stab Jacket, is a purple jacket that can be accessed from the wardrobe in the game at any time. Outfits in the game are usually acquired by purchasing them from one of several clothing stores found throughout the game, or even a few built by the Saints themselves as part of the Criminal Enterprise system. Such locations include "Planet Saints" and "Let's Pretend."

All things considered, the DLC items are nice to have but far from essential to enjoy the game, as it already features a vast array of vehicles and clothing options for players to make use of as they build the Saints into a powerful force in Santo Ileso's criminal underground. With the game's incredibly robust customization options for characters, clothing, vehicles, and even weapons, players will still have plenty of options even without the Saints Olive and Saints Custom Stab Jacket that this DLC offers.

Saints Row is available now for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Google Stadia.
