Fury Warriors may be the most fearsome melee damage dealers there is in Wrath of the Lich King Classic. They are often seen as top-tier in terms of the damage charts for both Single-Target and Multi-Target encounters. While they may not start out as the highest damage dealers, by the end of the expansion they will likely top the charts in any melee encounter.

In this expansion you'll see them strolling around casually wielding two massive 2-handed weapons. They don't provide much in terms of utility specific to this specialization, but like most DPS Warriors if given a shield can still be a secondary tank for some niche moments.

The preferred Race for Fury Warriors in WoW WotLK Classic are typically as follows:

For the Alliance they have 3 good options: Humans for Mace Specialization and Sword Specialization which reduce the Expertise requirements by 3 for each respective weapon. Dwarves for a stronger Mace Specialization. And Draenei for a 1% hit rating from Heroic Presence.

While the Horde provides Orc Fury Warriors with the 5 expertise bonus from Axe Specialization and the attack power buff Blood Fury. If you plan on not wielding Axes then Trolls are a worthy choice for the haste buff Berserking.

Best Talent Build For Fury Warrior

Variations

Depending on group composition and your current stat priorities the talents below can be freely customized, examples of such changes could be as follows:

• If your group needs Commanding Presence remove 2 points from Improved Cleave and 3 points from Unbridled Wrath. (Highlighted above in Blue)
• If your gear puts you over the Hit Rating Cap remove unneeded points from Precision and put them into Enrage or, for more utility, Piercing Howl. (Highlighted above in Pink)

Best Fury Warrior Glyphs

Major Glyphs

Being a key aspect of the damage rotation, Glyph of Whirlwind is mandatory. Glyph of Heroic Strike can also be used for increased damage. Finally, Glyph of Rending can be used for Single-Target encounters or Glyph of Cleaving for Multi-Target encounters

Minor Glyphs

Glyph of Bloodrage will provide a minor benefit to help mitigate damage from using Bloodrage. Depending on the needs of your group, Glyph of Command or Glyph of Battle can be used interchangeably or one could be swapped out for Glyph of Charge for slightly better mobility.

Stat Priority For Fury Warrior

The most important stat for Fury Warriors is Hit Rating and Strength. It is still also necessary to reach certain thresholds with Expertise and Armor Penetration, but generally, an item with higher item level will be a better piece of gear due to it having higher stats overall.

If you have to prioritize one piece of gear over another, follow this order:

1. Hit Rating (up to 8% Cap*)
2. Strength
3. Armor Penetration
4. Critical Strike Rating
5. Expertise (up to a Cap of 26 Expertise*)
6. Agility
7. Haste Rating
8. Attack Power

Fury Warrior Hit Rating Cap

Making sure your abilities hit is the number one most important thing. Fortunately, it is made easier to obtain with the talent Precision. With 3 points in this talent only 165 Hit Rating is needed. The Draenei passive racial trait Heroic Presence also provides 1% hit rating, now requiring only 132 Hit Rating. In later phases it is very easy to obtain the threshold and removing points from Precision and into other ones can be beneficial.

Fury Warrior Expertise Cap

All melee attacks against a level 83 enemy have a 6.5% chance to dodge or parry. Expertise reduces the chance that an attack will be dodged or parried. Having 26 Expertise (214 expertise rating) will overcome this factor. 1 Expertise equals 8.2 expertise rating which equals a 0.25% reduction in dodge or parry.

The Human racial traits Sword Specialization and Mace Specialization as well as the Orc Axe Specialization and Dwarf Mace Specialization reduce the amount of Expertise needed (189 vs 173 expertise rating, respectively).

Skill Rotation For Fury Warrior

Fury Warriors don't necessarily have a specific rotation to follow, much like their Arms brothers it comes down to managing rage and prioritizing skills.

To start, maintain either Battle Shout or Commanding Shout; use whichever the group requires more. Within the priority of the skills below, make sure that 5 stacks of Sunder Armor and Demoralizing Shout is also maintained on the primary target.

For Single-Target encounters follow this priority:

• Bloodrage
• Heroic Throw
• Recklessness
• Death Wish
• Heroic Strike (to use excess Rage)
• Bloodthirst
• Whirlwind
• Slam (from a Bloodsurge proc)
• Sunder Armor
• Execute
• Demoralizing Shout
• Piercing Howl

For Multi-Target encounters the only things that change are Whirlwind is a higher priority than Bloodthirst, and use Cleave as a replacement for Heroic Strike

Consumables For Raids

• Flask:
  1. Flask of Endless Rage
  2. Alternatives: Elixir of Mighty Strength, Elixir of Protection

• Food Buff:
  1. Dragonfin Filet
  2. Alternatives: Snapper Extreme, Worg Tartare, Rhinolicious Wormsteak

• Potions:
  1. Alternate use of Indestructible Potion followed by Potion of Speed ideally, to line up with cooldowns especially at the start of a fight. They share a 1-minute cooldown, but Indestructible Potion provides a 2-minute buff that, with Armored to the Teeth, provides effectively 97 AP.
