While there are plenty of different ways to make money in Stardew Valley, one of the best ways to do so is through planting and selling crops. There are dozens of different options for players to choose from across the game's different seasons with some stuck behind progression walls.
In order to get seeds in Stardew Valley, however, players need to head to one of four different shops spread around Pelican Town. For those players looking to track down where these stores are and what they offer, this guide is here to help.
Where to Get Seeds in Stardew Valley?
Within Pelican Town players have two competing places to acquire the vast amount of seeds in Stardew Valley: JojaMart and Pierre's General Store. Both provide similar services but with their own costs and benefits.
Traveling from a player's farm, Pierre's General Store will be the first of these two to appear, and it is the large building next to the clinic run by Stardew Valley's doctor, Harvey, and the Bulletin Board. As long as players haven't purchased a membership to Jojamart, the seed prices here will be cheaper, with the only exception being Sunflower Seeds. The main drawback to this location is its limited shop hours. The store runs from 9am to 5pm every day except Wednesday at the outset of the game.
Across the bridge in the eastern part of Pelican Town, JojaMart offers almost the same stock each season as Pierre's General Store. Unfortunately, the prices here are slightly inflated until a player purchases the 5,000 gold membership. It is important to note that doing so opens up the JojaMart pathway in Stardew Valley, turning the Community Center into a warehouse. Once this is done, JojaMart's prices will match Pierre's in most cases. It is also open each day from 9am to 11pm.

Where Else to Get Seeds in Stardew Valley?
Aside from the two major competitors, players can find seeds at Stardew Valley's Traveling Cart and the Oasis in the Calico Desert. The former is much less reliable than the traditional stores but offers interesting items, while the latter provides seeds not found elsewhere in the game.
The Traveling Cart
This shop appears in the Cidersnap Forest on Fridays and Sundays between 6am and 8pm and has the chance to offer any of the above-mentioned seeds as well as the Rare Seed, one of the better crops in Stardew Valley. Its stock rotates throughout the year as well as its prices and so players should only turn to this option as a last resort.
The Oasis
Only available to those that have unlocked the Calico Desert in Stardew Valley by fixing the Bus through JojaMart or the Community Center, the Oasis holds four interesting seed options. Beet Seeds (20g), Rhubarb Seeds (100g), Cactus Seeds (150g), and Starfruit Seeds can each be found here, and the store is open from 9am to 11:50pm.
Stardew Valley is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Android, iOS, and many other devices.
