Now that Update 6.2, Buried Memory, has a release date of August 23rd, Square Enix is hosting a special livestream all week  to celebrate the new Island Sanctuary feature. There’s also a preview of the new raid and a peek at the upcoming Variant Dungeon.

The special livestream on the Final Fantasy XIV Twitch channel began this morning at 5 a.m. Pacific time and will run through Friday, August 19th at 5 a.m. Pacific time. Say hello to Mogchute Farm, complete with farm animals and surprises, along with some opportunities to help decide what a variety of farm animals, including pigs, chickens, and goats, will eat from a list the community can vote on.

The event takes place from Mudchute Farm, a 32-acre site in East London that is run as a community charity and open to the public. This week, however, it’s a preview of your future farm life in Final Fantasy XIV’s Island Sanctuary.

The team will show off farm animals, how they live, their daily feeds, and other parts of their daily lives. The weeklong event ahead of Island Sanctuary, the feature, debuting next week is showing off some excitement to let everyone begin to feel a bit of what it’s like to run a farm and be surrounded by all kinds of farm animals.

When the feature launches, you'll be able to build and customize your own farm on an island full of wildlife. you'll be able to gather materials, build facilities, and of course take care of creatures on your farm. Your minions will also have a place there.

Also launching with a new patch is a brand new raid, Pandaemonium: Abyssos, and the Buried Memory minisite has been updated with a new description and some screenshots. Additionally, there’s a peek at the upcoming Variant Dungeon, The Sil'dihn Subterrane, that will come in update 6.25.
