The latest Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis update adds a new field race in Kvaris, new limited-time tasks, and more PSO2 anniversary-related items.

With the introduction of snowy, frozen Kvaris and a snowboarding system, the latest update’s addition of a field race in South Kvaris, just feels fitting. You'll be able to take on the South Kvaris Dash to see who's the fastest. Race is divided into several sections with checkpoints that you have to pass within a certain time limit. There are different stages And challenges to overcome with your environment and more. Naturally, you'll also have to keep your eye on any opponents to make sure you take the lead.

There are new limited-time tasks in the update, including seasonal events that incorporate the new field race as well as other tasks you can complete for a series of rewards. Among them are different exchange items, because with every new season there are new opportunities to dress your character.

The update also continues celebrating the 10th anniversary of the original Phantasy Star Online 2. The PSO2 Replay Campaign is open, letting you play through key story from the years of PSO2. Rewards you collect will vary and any that you can’t use in New Genesis will be sent to your storage, according to the update. Sega is also incorporating items from the ninth anniversary item design contest that were submitted from the community last year. These items will be available through a new scratch ticket for the anniversary celebration.

July isn't done because next week they've announced that there will be another Limited-Time World Trial: Stellar Grace Recovery Operation with all Stellar Grace the same color and items to collect. This will arrive on July 27th.
