A new leak for Halo Infinite was revealed during the most recent co-op beta flight. This newest Halo Infinite leak gives players a sneak peek into some exciting new content coming to the game soon, although there's no definite timeline for its arrival. The latest installment in the Halo franchise, Halo Infinite did not launch with co-op, but it's slated for release later this year, and beta testing for the co-op campaign mode is currently open until August 1. With this access, some players dug into the game files and discovered some heretofore unrevealed content.RELATED: Halo Infinite Clip Shows Just How Deadly Mongooses Can BeThe latest leaks revealed that the DMR weapon will be coming to Halo Infinite, along with the Forge game mode, and a mysterious object called the quantum translocator. The DMR's first appearance in Halo was in Halo: Reach, and the images leaked for Infinite look similar to that version of the rifle as well. Players have been looking forward to the release of the Forge mode for Halo Infinite as well. First appearing in Halo 3, the Forge allowed players to create their own maps or alter existing ones for custom multiplayer games.

These leaks are big news for Halo fans. The DMR has been a deadly weapon, especially in multiplayer, since its introduction. Its quick semi-automatic rate of fire and built-in scope make it easy to line up multiple headshots for players who have a quick trigger finger and pinpoint accuracy. When it comes to the Forge game mode, players having been using it to create unique maps for years now, like when someone used it to recreate a Destiny PvP map in Halo 5. If anything, the Forge mode in Infinite looks like it will have even deeper customization options, allowing for greater player creativity.

Along with the promised co-op campaign mode, these leaks are making the future of the game look very promising. A lot of people have been wanting more classic weapons like the DMR to be added to Halo Infinite, and custom game modes are usually a great way to prolong interest and engagement in a game's multiplayer scene. With the creativity shown by Halo players in previous iterations of the mode, it's almost certain that the expanded Forge mode will have people coming back just for the custom games.

Of course, some people might have been hoping for other weapons like the Spartan Laser, Brute Shot, or Covenant Carbine to be leaked. There's no reason that these couldn't make an appearance at some point, though. And while some players might not have any interest in playing custom Forge maps, that's content that can easily be ignored if players aren't interested, so there's really no downside to the Forge reveals. Ultimately, these leaks seem to showcase a bright future for Halo Infinite and Halo fans.

Halo Infinite is available now on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
