Ubisoft has revealed some gameplay for the upcoming The Division Resurgence, a free-to-play shooter R.P.G. on iOS and Android.

Ubisoft announced the game last week. It is set in New York, and the new video gives us a look at weapon customisation and shooting mechanics. Check out the gameplay walkthrough below:

The description reads:

“Have a first look at the Division Resurgence! Rediscover the world-acclaimed franchise now on mobile with The Division Resurgence. Enjoy a AAA experience featuring a new storyline set in a massive urban open-world.

I have to say, though this isn’t for me, it does look impressive. Ubisoft describes the game, saying:

“This open-world game is a whole new opus to the Tom Clancy’s The Division franchise, with a new storyline, villains and factions. As a player you will be plunged into an independent campaign from The Division 1 and The Division 2. As an agent of the Strategic Homeland Division (SHD) your mission is to restore order, to protect civilians against hostile factions, and to help them rebuild a better future.”

This is the first game in the series (sort of) since The Division 2. In VideoGamer’s review of that game, Colm Ahern said:

“Those looking for well-thought out combat in arenas where enemies have positional awareness will feel fulfilled. The loop is satisfying, because the shiny carrot at the end of the stick is within touching distance at all times. Those looking for reason behind it all will feel cheated. The Division 2 could have been more. But, hey, as far as dull, well-made third person shooters without a single thing to say on absolutely anything, this is a pretty decent one.”
