After F2P Conversion, Fall Guys Grows to Over 50 Million Players

Fall Guys Skins For One Million Dollars

In June 2022, Mediatonic announced that its smash-hit battle royale game, Fall Guys, would be going free-to-play. It seems the company made the right decision as developers announced yesterday that FG now sports over 50 million players after only two weeks as a F2P title. In fact, within the first 48 hours as a free game, over 20 million players opted to check it out. Those are some pretty impressive numbers, sparky!

Of course, a celebration is absolutely in order but the key to the game’s longevity and success hinges on retaining players, not just getting a bunch of looky-lous in trying it out and leaving. How successful the team will be in that pursuit remains to be seen. However, with Mediatonic’s past success and inclusion of cross-progression, it’s possible that things will stay impressively high once the initial dust settles.
