Players that are hopping into Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will find themselves facing tougher and tougher opponents as they attempt to hunt all of the available creatures found throughout the Jungles of Elgado. Although things start out fairly easy, there's a difficulty spike fairly early into the DLC journey that will have players headed back to the Blacksmith and forging new gear to help them survive some of the more imposing fights.

Hunters that are looking to upgrade the later stages of the Bone weapon tree, or those that want to get their hands on the Master Rank Astalos Bracers, will need to collect an uncommon drop called Overgrown Stiffbone. Players that don't know where to look for this uncommon drop will have a hard time piecing together the required materials to upgrade their weapons or armor. Here's where to locate Overgrown Stiffbone in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.

Unfortunately, Overgrown Stiffbone is only found in one location, the newly added Jungle area outside Elgado. Players that want to obtain this item will need to head to the new DLC-based zone and head out on a Jungle-centric hunt or embark on an un-timed expedition. The latter is the better choice for those that need to farm multiple Overgrown Stiffbone as the drop is uncommon and there are only a handful of gathering points sprinkled across the Jungle area.

Overgrown Stiffbone can be gathered from any of the Bonepiles found sprinkled throughout the Jungle, with two being right near one another. Players that are struggling to find the Bonepiles can use the in-game item-tracking system or the map below to hunt them down. Although the Bonepiles will respawn after a short time, with only four points to gather from, players may find themselves standing out for a bit at the Main Camp to wait for the gathering points to refresh. Those that are fast enough may find it quicker to simply complete the expedition and head right back in, repeating the process until they've collected enough Overgrown Stiffbone to upgrade their appropriate Bone Tree weapons or craft the Astalos Bracers, which will unlock when players face the monster later on in their DLC journey.

It's important to note that Overgrown Stiffbone are only found in the Jungle zone and players will not be able to grab these items from any of the other zones near Kamura.
