With Elden Ring being such a massive game, it is not surprising that a few of its boss battles had to be reused at certain points in the adventure. Red Wolf of Radagon is one such fight, though despite fighting the creature a few times, a few Elden Ring fans failed to notice a cool aspect of its design.

To be fair, this detail is incredibly small, and players do not have much of an opportunity to get a close look at the Red Wolf of Radagon. The version players fight in the lead-up to Rennala’s battle as well as the Lesser Red Wolf of Radagon move incredibly fast. The beasts constantly hop around their respective arenas, giving players almost no time to breathe. With the Red Wolf of Radagon boasting a very low health bar, though, the fight is balanced, as players only need to land a few hits to be victorious.

Intriguingly, if Elden Ring players manage to slow things down enough to zoom in on the Red Wolf of Radagon, they can spot a cool detail on the beast’s ear. While it is easy to miss, the creature is actually wearing some jewelry. As shown by Reddit user Cthulhubot666, the creature’s ear is lined with gold rings. A blue and red symbol is present on one of these pieces of jewelry, while fans can spot even more rings if they look at the fur on the animal’s neck.

If the beast was slower, perhaps Cthulhubot666 would have noticed the rings sooner, but they say that it took them 500 hours to make this discovery. From a lore perspective, the jewelry is a nice touch. It makes the Red Wolf feel even more regal and special than it already does, which is fitting given its ties to Radagon - a key figure in Elden Ring’s complex narrative.

In the comments, some Elden Ring fans were quick to comment that they had no idea this jewelry was present on the Red Wolf. Other Redditors were quick to make jokes, dubbing the creature the Red Wolf of Swagagon due to its love for “Elden Bling” or saying that it earned one ring for each time it killed the player. Cthulhubot666 also raised a good question, wondering who would be brave enough to dress up the monstrous wolf. Most fans seem to agree that Radagon himself was the most likely answer. Not only would he be brave enough to do so, but his personal attachment to the Red Wolf and his own lore support the theory.

Next time players are going through Raya Lucaria Academy, it could be worth taking a closer look at the Red Wolf of Radagon. Given how speedy it is, though, this is easier said than done.

Elden Ring is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
