When it comes to Harry Potter, it seems everyone is familiar with Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint, the Golden trio of the eight-part film series. But there's one Harry Potter actor in the credits who a majority of people have probably never even heard of, despite the fact that he is romantically linked to Margot Robbie.

Tom Ackerley may not be a name that rings a bell for Harry Potter fans, but he's actually been involved in three of the eight franchise films: The Philosopher's Stone, The Chamber of Secrets, and The Prisoner of Azkaban. Cast as a nameless boy wizard, Ackerley served as an extra when he was just 10 years old, appearing in random scenes in the aforementioned titles. While he was never given any bit roles or lines, he was able to witness the movie magic behind the scenes. To be part of the process was an experience of a lifetime for him, as it was for the many other extras who were lucky enough to be included.

Like most Harry Potter alumni, Ackerley would end up leaving behind his acting dreams to pursue other interests, which in his case were directing and producing. In 2014, he co-founded a production company named LuckyChap Entertainment with his wife, and together, they went on to produce a couple of notable works, including the Academy Award-nominated films I, Tonya (2017), and Promising Young Woman (2020). But perhaps what is even more surprising than his film accolades is his marriage. At some point, it was revealed that his wife is none other than Hollywood A-lister Robbie, who has gained international fame for her performances in blockbusters such as Suicide Squad, Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey, and The Wolf of Wall Street.

During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Robbie shared that the two of them met on the set of Suite Française in 2013 and that they started dating in 2014 before getting married. She also revealed that her husband was specifically one of the Slytherin extras in The Prisoner of Azkaban and that his five minutes of fame was in a scene where Tom Felton's Draco Malfoy pushed him aside to get a closer look at Buckbeak. Needless to say, Robbie surprised everybody with that tidbit of information.

Currently, Robbie and Ackerley are working on the highly-anticipated Barbie film, which is being helmed by acclaimed director Greta Gerwig. If their past collaborations are any indication, fans can expect Barbie to be yet another success for the happy couple.

The Harry Potter films are available on HBO Max.
