Among the issues being noticed by Halo Infinite fans are some desync problems causing unregistered hits and frustrated Spartans, but the desync continues despite occurring with some regularity. 343 Industries has detailed one key reason why Halo Infinite isn't fixed yet and players still come across these desync troubles today.

Because 343 Industries released Halo Infinite without a co-op campaign, its multiplayer game modes are among the only ways fans can interact with each other, and they encounter desync troubles when hits don't register as they should. Halo Infinite fans first noticed the problematic desync around the launch of the FPS, but even with Season 2: Lone Wolves having begun, players continue to share their grievances with attacks not hitting like they otherwise would. Taking to a Halo Infinite desync video recently posted on Reddit, Senior Sandbox Designer Brian Berryhill gave Halo fans a glimpse into the ongoing development process.

343 Industries developers that may normally be working on fixes to desync are currently working on other aspects of Halo Infinite, according to Brian Berryhill. Going beyond a simple explanation, Berryhill stated that there are a number of factors contributing to remaining bugs in Halo Infinite, but that the team saves helpful videos highlighting bugs in internal threads to find improvements and presumably ensure all of them are tracked thoroughly. Berryhill also noted that though Halo Infinite players may not notice improvements on their end, 343 Industries developers have improved mobile objects like vehicles and stationary ones like bridges.

According to Brian Berryhill, the 343 Industries developers that have been sent elsewhere will be returning to "the Sandbox soon," suggesting that Halo Infinite players may see their problems resolved in a timely manner. Berryhill gave credit to "the Community and Competitive Insights teams," who both shine a light on the frustrating situations experienced by players in his update and clarified that the Halo Infinite desync affecting melee damage is a high priority on the team's list of fixes. Senior 343 Industries Community Manager John Junyszek has also stated that the team is taking feedback seriously as it reviews options internally in an effort to discover a fix.

Responding to Brian Berryhill's update, Reddit user Skeeter_206 has expressed appreciation for the team's dedication, but also disappointment that the Halo Infinite community has shared bug issues from the game's launch that remain unresolved. Although other Reddit users had their own complaints about Halo Infinite to share with Berryhill following his response, several applauded the 343 Industries developer for being so transparent and honest. Given just how bad Halo Infinite desync troubles have gotten, many fans also noted the importance of having responsive combat in an FPS game.

Halo Infinite is available now for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
