NieR: Automata, the cult hack-and-slash sci-fi fantasy from PlatinumGames, is coming to the Switch on October 6th, with new features.

NieR: Automata The End of YoRHa Edition will feature all previously released D.L.C. content and exclusive costumes for Switch. PlatinumGames announced the new edition during today’s Nintendo Direct Mini partner showcase. Check out the trailer below:

This from a press release:

“The critically acclaimed world of NieR: Automata invades Nintendo Switch! When machine lifeforms from another world attack without warning, unleashing a new type of threat, mankind is driven from Earth and takes refuge on the Moon. As 2B, a member of the android military force YoRHa, immerse yourself in a ferocious battle to take back the planet.”

The game was very well received when it launched, in 2017. In VideoGamer’s review of the game, Adam Cook said:

“It’s mental, honestly. You can ride a moose too, if you want to. There’s no good reason to do so, but why wouldn’t you? In a world that has robots in lipstick, bosses that scream about how they want to be beautiful, and that ridiculous skirt that 2B wears, you may as well ride the moose. I mean, in a way aren’t we all riding the moose?”
