Survival horror games are having a real renaissance all of a sudden, and Signalis is here to ensure that carries over into the indie space. Announced for PS4, it's a really moody, top-down title with an eye-catching pixelated art style. The 27th October 2022 is the release date, making it the perfect Halloween pick-up before The Callisto Protocol and Dead Space arrive a few months later.

The game is set in a dystopian future "where humanity has uncovered a dark secret. Unravel a cosmic mystery, escape terrifying creatures, and scavenge the corners of an off-world government facility as Elster, a technician Replika searching for her lost dreams." In order to progress, you'll need to do the usual things of fighting off monsters and solving puzzles, but also manage your inventory. The title will at points go into first-person to give you a better perspective of the items in front of you.

If you like what you see, a demo can be downloaded on Steam right now. Do you like the look of Signalis? Share your first impressions in the comments below.
