Tatsumeeko has raised $7.5 million in seed funding for development of its cross-platform fantasy MMORPG with blockchain elements. This announcement also came with a new teaser trailer for the game, which will be playable on the web, mobile devices, and Discord.

Set in a world called Ielia, Tatsumeeko will feature some of the standard MMORPG activities like gathering, farming, exploration, customizing a home, and your character.  There's a multi-class system, that lets you have a variety of options, and lots of character creation and avatar items for customization.

The 7.5 million dollar investment into development by the singapore-based company Tatsu. GG, came from a variety of sources like Bitkraft Ventures, Animoca brands, and more. Tatsu.GG has already had success with gamification on Discord. This game is more of an MMORPG-lite and is something like a chatbot or a chat space. Some of the details in the teaser trailer resemble other games like Habbo Hotel or earlier imports.

Tatsumeeko will  incorporate NFTs (Meekolony NFT) and its blockchain elements will be released via Ethereum and Solana. In fact, the studio has already released Meekolony Pass, with its series of 10,000 NFTs, which anyone can use to claim in-game bonuses and have access to special avatar customization options.

Next month, the sale of Aethereal Parcels, which correspond to land in the world, will happen.

Discord being friendly to blockchain games, releasing there is a smart decision, and is the first stop, since they plan release on other social platforms like WeChat and Telegram.. Of course this will be out on mobile devices and accessible on the web as well. They are also working on a version that will exclude all of those elements if you want to avoid them.

For more, head over to Tatsumeeko.
