EA & DICE have announced that Battlefield 2042 Season One: Zero Hour, the belated first season of post-launch content for the shooter, will land tomorrow.

The first season will include a new map, a new Specialist, new guns and brand new Battle Pass with a bunch of rewards for players. The new map, named Exposure, will send players to the mountains of Canada. Expect plenty of cliff-based battles, with the map also featuring a military base, monitoring station and a landslide battleground too.

Ewelina Lis is your new Specialist, who’s an anti-armour expert with her own G-84 TGM Rocket Launcher. Handily, she also has the ability to radar spot any enemy vehicles within a certain range.  As well as Lis, there’s a couple of new weapons for everyone including the Ghostmaker R10 Crossbow and BSV-M Marksman Rifle. Vehicle-wise, players can get behind the stick of a pair of stealth gunships: the RAH-68 Huron and the YG-99 Hannibal.

As is the trend for shooters these days, the first Season also brings along with it a Battle Pass for the game. There’s a free track and a Premium Track of course with 100 tiers of new stuff to earn. DICE has promised that any gameplay related rewards will always be in the Free tiers, but those who stump up the cash can also get extra skins, BF Currency, Player Card Backgrounds, Takedowns and more.

The Battlefield 2042 Season One: Zero Hour launches for the game tomorrow, June 9. You can check out a trailer for the new content, as well as the Battle Pass, below. Don’t expect any more content for Hazard Zone however, as DICE revealed last month.
