Rockstar Games certainly have their over-the-top and comedic moments, and Red Dead Redemption 2 isn't excluded. However, even serious moments in Red Dead Redemption 2 can become anything but with the right help from a fan.

That's what happened when one player activated a Snapchat filter while playing the game. The results are striking the Red Dead Redemption 2 community as downright hilarious.

Reddit user Codyhman3 shared their results with the Red Dead Redemption community on the site. The pictures show Arthur and an NPC being modified by the 'Shook' Snapchat filter, causing their eyes to bug out and their mouths to excessively curve downwards in a sort of half-smile and half-grimace. Arthur takes on this appearance as he stands holding a parrot, while an NPC being held up by Arthur takes on the expression while being held at gunpoint.

Fans of Red Dead Redemption 2 seem to be very amused by the pictures, with comparisons to the lumbering behemoths in Attack on Titan being made. Others admitted to being disturbed by the images. While playing through the entire game like this would be difficult, the Shook Snapchat filter and others could certainly be used to make some of the more serious moments of the game hilarious, instead.

Snapchat filters and games have collided before, and it's often done in an official capacity. For example, the developers behind Ghost of Tsushima, Senua's Saga, and even Pokemon have created Snapchat filters for users to enjoy. They serve as promotional tools, bringing attention to the games and keeping existing fans engaged with the community. However, considering how well Snapchat tracks and manipulates faces - even if they're not as hyper-realistic as Arthur Morgan's - it's unlikely that this is the first or last time that a Snapchat filter will be used to alter the appearance of a game.

Of course, a Snapchat filter isn't necessary in order for Red Dead Redemption 2 to look odd. Although the game is well-loved by fans and has been widely praised by critics, it certainly has its glitches and flaws. Some of these have led to Red Dead Redemption 2 characters becoming bug-eyed, while others have significantly altered the appearance of the world around the player. Red Dead Redemption 2, even years after its release, is ordinarily a great looking game, but under the right circumstances, it can look just as bizarre as it does with this Snapchat filter applied.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
