Genshin Impact has a huge playable roster which keeps expanding with each new version of the game. Considering that the game runs a gacha-based system, most fans won't be surprised to know that the game's main focus are colorful anime-inspired characters.

Their unique design often inspired fans to replicate a part of the game in real life and produce their own type of merchandise. A new post on the popular Genshin Impact subReddit shows an interesting fan-made card deck featuring the game's characters.

The pictures reveal that the deck features at least seven popular characters, including the fan-favorite NPC Paimon. All the playable characters presented in the cards are from the main Mondstadt region, which is the first nation added to the game. Vynrah has confirmed that besides the characters presented in the post, there are five additional ones that include Razor, Amber, Keaya, Fischl, and Abledo. Multiple comments claim that they've actually thought that the cards are part of the game's official merchandise. After numerous proposals, Vynrah confirmed that a new set of cards featuring Liyue and Inazuma characters should arrive in the foreseeable future. The whole concept started an interesting discussion on in the community which left many players wondering why HoYoverse avoids adding new Mondstadt characters to the game.

The last Mondstadt character that was added to the playable roster was Eula during Genshin Impact Version 1.5 which arrived back in May 2021. Since then, the game has added 14 different characters, most of which are tied with the newer Inazuma region. The most recent character addition, Yelan, is a popular Liyue character that works for the Ministry of Civil Affairs which confirms that she's from the Geo region.

Even the two characters that are confirmed to arrive in the following weeks are from Inazuma, and it's highly unlikely that the upcoming addition of a new major region, Sumeru, could bring a couple of Mondstadt characters. However, players can at least expect new skins for Mondstadt characters as recent Genshin Impact leaks confirmed that two belonging to the orignal Genshin Impact squad, Diluc and Fischl, will most likely receive new cosmetics.

Genshin Impact is out now for Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5 with a Switch version in development.
