Despite quickly approaching its five-year anniversary since its release, Fortnite remains one of the most widely-played and talked about titles in the gaming industry. This is in part because of the battle royale's near-constant content updates, which include limited-time events like the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2-ending event, "COLLISION."

Epic Game's ever-popular free-to-play title is now in the final week of its Chapter 3 Season 2. The tumultuous season initially divided fans when Fortnite's signature building mechanic was temporarily removed, before creating both a dedicated build and no-build mode. Having themed weeks again for the final few of the season, Bargain Bin Week has made its return, slashing prices on anything requiring Gold Bars on the island.

What Time is the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 End Event?

As previously mentioned, the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 end event, titled "COLLISION," should see the Imagined Order, or IO, finally fully collide with The Seven. Both are mysterious organizations, with yet-to-be fully understood motives, with "COLLISION" hopefully shedding more light on the conflict. “COLLISION” takes place on June 4 at 4 PM ET/1 PM PT and is a one-time only, in-game event. Players can enter the playlist 30 minutes prior to the event, and will require a full squad of four. Those without a full squad will have their group filled, as the events of "COLLISION" requires four players.

Fortnite players who log in on June 4 beginning at 8 AM ET will receive an exclusive loading screen and lobby track. Epic Games is recommending players record and archive the event, as it will not be replayable. Further details of the Chapter 3 Season 2 end event reveal that Mecha Weapons Team Outfits will be available, allowing players the opportunity to properly suit up. While its still unclear on what exactly will happen during the events of "COLLISION," players can expect something epic.

Releasing just in time for the season-ending event is the Fortnite Crew pack for June 2022, which has Mecha Strike Commander as the featured skin. Believed to be the new title of the reconstructed Mecha Team Leader, the outfit perfectly resembles the full-sized mech gradually being put together in the background of the lobby. Players will also gain access to the Mecha Light Capacitor Back Bling and the Mecha Reborn Wrap, in addition to the usual Fortnite Crew perks. "COLLISION" marks a return to season-ending events in Fortnite, with the last one happening at the end of Chapter 2.

In addition to the return of season-ending events, the Fortnite Championship series will return to in-person competition. Announced a few days ago, players will compete in Duos in Raleigh, North Carolina for a $1,000,000 prize pool. With the FNCS not taking place until November, it should be interesting to see how the events of "COLLISION" and the upcoming seasons will affect Fortnite.

Fortnite is free-to-play on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
