The end of the first Overwatch 2 Beta test window has closed. Its absence will disappoint PC players who had weeks of playtime and got acquainted with the Overwatch hero reworks, new maps, and new design elements. To keep interest in the game up, the next installment of the Overwatch Anniversary Remix event has already started that will bring new versions of some of Overwatch's greatest hit skins.

The Overwatch Anniversary Remix Volume 2 Event returns on May 17th with new paint jobs on six previously released skins while also making the remixed skins from the Vol. 1 Overwatch event available again. The new skins will include Black Wolf Hanzo (Okami Legendary skin), Hydra Symmetra (Dragon Symmetra Legendary skin), Neon Cat Sombra (Black Cat Legendary skin), Night Owl Ana (Snow Owl Legendary skin), Poison Dart Lucio (Ribbit Lucio Legendary skin) and Noxious Roadhog (Toxic Roadhog Legendary skin).

Past Weekly Challenge skins will make a return, just like the first Remix event. In order of scheduled appearance, Mercy's Legendary Dr. Ziegler skin, Ashe's Epic Mardi Gras skin, and Sigma's Legendary Maestro skin and associated emotes and sprays under the 9-18-27 points system will be made available once again for the 3 weeks of the Volume 2 remix event. Seasonal skins, sprays, and emotes will also be unlocked and available to purchase with coins earned from duplicate items and random coin drops from Overwatch loot boxes.

Along with the remixed skins, seasonal event game modes from Winter Wonderland, Overwatch Archives, this year's Chinese New Year "Year of the Tiger" celebrations, and other associated seasonal Brawl and PvE modes like Yeti Hunt and LucioBall, and others will be rotated daily. The themed emotes and sprays that were released initially for the eligible skins are also back if players have enough coins or open enough loot boxes to get them.

Overwatch's Anniversary event wants to entice players that just came from having their fill of the Overwatch 2 Beta to keep playing the game. These remixed skins served up with a helping of FOMO gives Blizzard the opportunity to keep the player base engaged as they await the second PvP beta. The Overwatch Anniversary Remix Volume 2 event will end on June 7th. A special event with details for the Overwatch 2 Beta 2 window is already planned for June 19th with hopes that the second Beta will release with more new maps, reworks, and access to the Beta for console players.
