Tara Strong is a true talent, who has voiced many iconic characters and lent her talents to a wide variety of media properties. Her portfolio of characters ranges from films to TV shows to video games. Her voice is one that gamers might be able to instantly recognize, or will be pleasantly surprised to fund upon reading the credits.

From Loki’s Miss Minutes to Batman’s Harley Quinn, Tara Strong certainly has the credits to back up her talent. As the central voice of Harley Quinn, many might wonder if she will appear as the character in more video games. For now, it’s time to celebrate just a few of her many accomplishments.

10 Batgirl — Batman: Vengeance

Batman: Vengeance is a highly nostalgic game for fans that grew up with Batman: The Animated Series. The game itself is a continuation that fits perfectly into the Batman series and has a high caliber of Batman rogues and heroes in this story. Barbara Gordon is set to debut in Gotham Knights, which is on track to release this year.

Tara Strong plays Barbara Gordon’s Batgirl with both seriousness and charm. Although Batgirl doesn’t have a lot to do in this game, players don’t forget her presence. She has a great level where Batman must save her on a speeding train, and the longer the player takes, the more her health drains.

9 Ben Tennyson — Ben 10: Protector Of Earth

One of Tara Strong’s most iconic voice performances is Ben Tennyson, the titular character of the iconic Ben 10. Leading plenty of animated shows and games, Strong has cemented herself as the definitive Ben 10, with her talent bringing the cocky and arrogant ten-year-old to life.

Ben 10 has appeared in many games throughout the years, but most fans favor Ben 10: Protector of Earth as one of the best for its story that captivates players with the similarities and feel of the original animated show. Tara Strong once again provides a great performance for the character.

8 Keira — Jak X: Combat Racing

jak and keira

Tara Strong took over as the voice for Keira in the Jak and Daxter franchise, beginning with Jak 3. The character had appeared in a more prominent role in the previous entries but had the spotlight return somewhat to her with Jak X, and hopefully, the character and the series has a future soon.

Strong keeps Keira’s voice vaguely similar to the original voice, but gives it her own spin. Keira’s story in Jak X has her frustrated with her father, as she wants to prove to him that she can be a great racer, and doesn’t need to be kept safe as a child. Her frustrations and desire for more than what she’s stuck with are acted well by Strong in this gaming franchise.

7 Talwyn Apogee — Ratchet And Clank

Talywn is a major supporting character that appears in a multitude of Ratchet and Clank games. She has quite the role in the series, being a very close ally and girlfriend to Ratchet. She is a character fans hope to see in the franchise again.

Tara Strong plays her with confidence, a character that knows who she is and what she is doing. The character is also described as tough, loyal, and ready to fight. These are all attributes that Strong manages to translate from her voice into the character we see in the game.

6 Raven — Injustice: Gods Among Us

raven

Tara Strong has played Raven for many years in a variety of video games and animated shows, cementing herself as the main voice of the character. She appears in many animated shows, from 2003’s Teen Titans to 2013’s Teen Titans Go!

Strong voiced Raven in Injustice: Gods Among Us, but the character did not appear in the sequel, Injustice 2. Raven is serious, and always in control of her emotions to the point of sounding fed-up with the people around her. What makes Strong’s performance so great is that she sounds more adult and powerful than in her cartoon, younger self. Strong translates this well for Raven while keeping audiences engaged and interested in her character.

5 Paz Ortega — Metal Gear Solid

As the English voice for Paz in the famous Metal Gear Solid series, Tara Strong’s Paz Ortega has quite the role in Metal Gear Solid: Peacewalker and a long-lasting one in both Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain. Strong shows off her ability to switch accents when playing Paz.

Strong’s performance as Paz translates well for the character. She seems innocent and youthful, with a love for peace. Strong’s voice work for Paz makes both the player and Big Boss care for her, to the point that when the story takes a dramatic turn for Paz’s character, players feel the effects.

4 Rachel — Ninja Gaiden

rachel

A prominent character, and the lead female character of a few of the franchise’s games, Rachel is someone nobody would want to mess with in Ninja Gaiden. She makes her reappearance in the newly released Master Collection. She’s ruthless, strong, and won’t let anything get in her way when it comes to getting what she wants.

Tara Strong plays Rachel with confidence and enthusiasm, whilst also tapping into a vulnerable, sensitive, and emotional side when it comes to her backstory and what makes her a tragic heroine. Rachel’s character develops throughout these games, and she eventually leaves the hot-head persona behind for a more caring one.

3 Rikku — Final Fantasy 10

rikku

Final Fantasy X’s Rikku is upbeat, positive, and not afraid to speak her mind. She's another character voiced by Tara Strong, this time in the famous series by Square Enix.

Strong brings a positive and energetic performance to this Final Fantasy title and provides the game with a softer tone with her appearances. Final Fantasy isn’t the only game Rikku has made an appearance in, and Strong returned to voice her in Kingdom Hearts 2.

2 Juliet Starling — Lollipop Chainsaw

This hack-and-slash zombie hunter adventure was a collaboration between game designer Suda51, famed for No More Heroes, and filmmaker James Gunn, known for Marvel Studios' Guardians of the Galaxy. It starred Tara Strong as the protagonist, Juliet Starling, a chainsaw-wielding cheerleader from a California high school.

The game is chock-full of jokes and wacky characters, and Strong complements them well with the enthusiasm and naivety of the wacky world around her. She tries to fit in like a normal teenager with a normal family, and keep her boyfriend calm.

1 Harley Quinn — Batman: Arkham City

Following from the original voice of Harley Quinn, Arleen Sorkin, Tara Strong has since played the psychiatrist-turned-jester for many years, in many roles, ranging from animated shows to video games. This includes the delayed Rocksteady title Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League.

Debuting in Batman: Arkham City, Strong gives Harley a great voice, tapping into the character’s Brooklyn roots, bubbly personality, and arrogance. She has great range with Harley, voicing frustration, anger, and sadness, as well as a knack for her sass and jokes.
