Ubisoft is adding a “curated” version of Ubisoft+ to the new PlayStation Plus service, with twenty-seven games available initially.
This service is called Ubisoft+ Classics, and its catalogue will increase to fifty games before the end of the year. The full subscription includes over a hundred games. (I still think that the company should only have forty games on there at any one time. Thus, they would be able to call the subscription The UB40. Alas, it hasn’t happened, and likely now won’t)
As Sony’s new service launches, it will feature Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Watch Dogs, Far Cry 4, and many more.
In a blog post (via Eurogamer), Ubisoft senior vice president of partnerships Chris Early said:
“We’re providing PlayStation players with another way to enjoy Ubisoft games on their consoles. This is just the beginning, as we will ultimately make Ubisoft+ available to PlayStation owners as we continue to build our vision and provide players with more options to access their favorite games, wherever they are.”
Sony revealed some more details on the new PlayStation Plus service today. In particular we now know many of the PlayStation 4 and 5 games that will be available. We also know a number of the classic games that will feature. Many of these will feature increased frame rates and resolutions, and will give us the ability to save anywhere and to rewind our progress.
Sony’s new subscription will launch in “Asia on May 24, followed by Japan on June 2, North and South America on June 13, and finally Europe, Australia, and New Zealand on June 23.”
