Another new trailer has dropped for Rebellion’s long range shooter Sniper Elite 5, this time focusing on the game’s features.

We’re heading to France in 1944 for hero Karl Fairburne’s latest mission. The combat veteran has uncovered a nasty Nazi plot by the name of Operation Kraken, and he’ll have to work in the shadows to take it down. That’s where you come in, of course, with you and a friend able to take on the entire campaign in two player online co-op or solo, if you choose.

One of the big new features this time around is Invasion mode. This allows another human player to take the guise of an enemy sniper and try and interrupt your campaign to take you down. Invaders can enlist the help of enemy AI to help spot Karl’s location, and can earn cosmetics if they take him out. However, Karl can also use phones to get intel on the invader and take him out first. If you prefer to keep things solo, you can of course turn this off in the menu.

Elsewhere, the trailer makes a nod to the game’s suite of four other multiplayer modes, all with crossplay so you can play with others regardless of format. Customisation has also been given a huge upgrade this time around, and even the game’s signature kill cams have had an upgrade too. Perfect for seeing those best shots in all their gory detail, if you like that sort of thing.
