Pack your bags, it’s time to get away from the stress of life as Neowiz announce a lovely new title, Aka.
Publisher Neowiz, the team behind Skul: the Hero Slayer, just announced a new getaway for players looking to just relax their way through their next adventure. Aka is the brainchild of “Cosmic Gatto”, a professional animator and DreamWorks alumni, who is now out to charm us all with a cute little furball and an island full of wonder.
Taking plenty of inspiration from the sights and sounds of Miyazaki’s animation, this title pulls players out into an inviting open world. As you stumble into the wilderness, local inhabitants, creatures, and charming
attractions await. A free form narrative combines to encourage exploration, allowing any eager new tourists to uncover a wide variety of mini games, farm the land, craft cool trinkets, or help out the locals. Along the way you’ll traverse a multitude of environments, across Pine tree island, Maple Tree Island, Bamboo Island, and Palm Tree Island. Of course, it’s not all mini games and mooching around. There are plenty of old demons waiting beneath the seemingly serene shade of the treeline.
