People Can Fly and Square Enix have unveiled Outriders Worldslayer, the first true expansion to their 2021 squad shooter Outriders.

Worldslayer will pick up where the main game ended, and introduce a new villain in Ereshkigal. She’s the leader of the human insurgents, and has her own ideas about humanity’s future with their newfound abilities. Meanwhile, the Anomaly has continued to mutate the world of Enoch, bringing frost storms and blizzards across the land.

Across the campaign, you can expect to explore new lands complete with new enemies, creatures and locations to discover. Naturally, that also means there’s plenty of new loot to grab too with more than a hundred new additions promised. There’s also a new tier of rarity items, known as Apocalypse Gear which goes with the new Apocalypse difficulty. You’ll even be able to add a third mod slot to your existing gear to buff it even further.

All the game’s original classes will get two new subclass branches known as PAX class trees. You’ll unlock points on these branches as you progress through the expansion’s campaign. There’s also a new Ascension progression system, allowing you to buff your hero even further. There’s over 200 points to unlock, buffing your stats across everything from weapon handling to anomaly powers.

Once you manage to finish the Worldslayer Campaign, that’s not all. Players will then be able to access the endgame known as The Trial of Tarya Gratar. Details on that are being kept under wraps at the moment, but expect more on that to be revealed closer to launch.

For now, you can check out both the cinematic trailer and in-depth reveal video below. Outriders Worldslayer arrives as a paid-for expansion on June 30 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC.
