Capcom has announced it’s to launch a second collection of its classic arcade games in the form of Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium.

The collection was first confirmed on Capcom’s Twitter account. The announcement itself was light on detail, with only two of the 32 games confirmed. The first, SonSon, will be a free download on launch of the compendium. Meanwhile, Three Wonders will be offered to those who pre-order (or purchase early) the Capcom Fighting Collection.

At the present time, Capcom aren’t announcing further details like what else will be included but promise more info soon. The first Capcom Arcade Stadium arrived in May of last year with 30 games. The games were then divided up into three packs of 10 games each, roughly based around the years of their release.

For example, Pack 1, Dawn of the Arcade, included games like Commando, Bionic Commando and Ghouls ‘N’ Ghosts. That covered games released between 1984 and 1988. The second pack, covering 1989 to 1992, was entitled Arcade Revolution. It included Final Fight, Street Fighter II, Dynasty Wars and more. Finally Pack 3 – Arcade Evolution ’92-’01 included Super Street Fighter II Turbo, Giga Wing and Warriors of Fate. Each game was also available to buy individually.

It’s not currently known why these 32 new games are being released as a new collection. We also don’t know a release date yet. However, users on Twitter have uncovered a potential July 22 release on the Xbox Marketplace. For now, we’ll have to wait for that more info for confirmation.

Until then, we do know that Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium will arrive on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
