Bugs are hardly a rarity in gaming today, particularly with the scale of many popular titles. Ubisoft's latest entry of the Far Cry franchise, Far Cry 6, is no different. In one of its latest updates, the developer released a Far Cry 6 hotfix for the Xbox version of the game.Of course, Ubisoft is no stranger to game glitches and the company has been actively pushing Far Cry 6 bug fixes following its launch in October 2021. Ubisoft has also been regularly releasing new content over the past few months, which has helped retain the excitement around the latest entry of the popular Far Cry series. Its title update in February included a significant amount of updates including a much-anticipated Rambo mission.RELATED: Hilarious Far Cry 6 Glitch Ruins CutsceneThe latest content update is "The Vanishing" mission, a Far Cry 6 crossover with the Netflix hit Stranger Things. Following the launch on March 24, players have come across a few glitches, some of them preventing them from playing the mission entirely. One of these issues would be a message prompt that stated players would need to sign up for Xbox Game Pass or Xbox Gold whenever the crossover mission was launched on Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X. The April 7 hotfix solves this issue for Xbox players, according to Ubisoft.

Apart from the Rambo and Stranger Things missions, the developer has also released other notable new content updates such as special operations, weekly insurgencies, cosmetic updates, and missions featuring Danny Trejo. Additionally, the Far Cry 6 Season Pass has released DLC content for Vaas Montenegro, Pagan Min, and Joseph Seed, where fans can play as the iconic villains from previous titles. The Season Pass also includes the original Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon along with a remastered version for current-gen consoles.

Ubisoft hasn't announced its plans for Far Cry 6 beyond the Stranger Things crossover. While the developer will likely ramp up patching fixes for the game, it's unclear whether players can expect more significant content updates. Meanwhile, fans have already begun to speculate what to expect from the next title. Many point out that Ubisoft may switch to a live service format with Far Cry 7. Regardless, should the current pattern continue, fans may see a spinoff title based on Far Cry 6 within the next couple of years followed by Far Cry 7. Though nothing has been officially confirmed by Ubisoft yet.

Far Cry 6 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
