Guild Wars 2 Goes Back To Living World Season 1 This Month

ArenaNet has just announced that Tyrians will go all the way back to the beginning of Living World, when Season 1: “Flame and Frost” returns in April.

Guild Wars 2 is about to drag players back from Cantha with an old release that many of you might not even remember. Newly minted Tyrians, jumping on for the latest End of Dragons expansion will soon be able to experience the start of an epic journey when Living World, Episode 1 launches again. Due to arrive on 19 April, this rerun is the first time this content has seen the light of day since it first appeared in 2013. This follows through from a recent studio blog, where the team behind this massive MMO also confirmed a new expansion, will introduce players to the first few moments of Dragon’s Watch, back before undead kings and Jungle Dragons.

These first steps will be deployed into player’s Story Journal and isn’t a total rehash. ArenaNet has confirmed that the content has had a bit of polish to bring it up to date and better reflect the studio’s current style. Just, don’t expect epic things. This was the first time Tyrians saw serialized story telling. Do stick with it though, the eventual return to lion’s Arch should be worth the wait.

On top of the Season 1 replay, players will get access to the first Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons Challenge Mode Strike Mission. Challenge Mode is a deadlier twist on existing Strike Missions, featuring more complex mechanics for coordinated and well-prepared groups.

Whether you open the Story journal or jump into a Strike mission, whatever you do on 19 April make sure to bring a hammer. You’ll need it. Trust a long-suffering Tyrian on that. Check out more on the upcoming content over on the official Guild Was 2 blog post now.
