Over the past few years, Fallout 76 has turned things around for itself and for Bethesda Game Studios. Whereas the game was originally considered a failure in the eyes of the fans and critics, it is now generally viewed with a more favorable outlook, and it doesn't seem like it'll be going anywhere anytime soon.Bethesda Game Studios is now joining forces with Double Eleven, the developer of Rust, to produce entirely new content for Fallout 76 and continue the game's development for the foreseeable future. Double Eleven CEO, Lee Hutchinson, said that working on this game alongside Bethesda is a "dream come true," and the studio has exciting news to share about its future.RELATED: Fallout 76 PTS Coming Back to Test New Public EventsAccording to Double Eleven, the company entered into content production discussions with Bethesda in late 2020 and had already produced some entirely new content for the game that will be released as part of Fallout 76's 2022 content roadmap. Double Eleven didn't go into much detail about which content exactly that might be, as there are four major releases already announced for the remainder of the year.

Bethesda's 5-year plan for Fallout 76 makes way more sense now that the developer is collaborating with an experienced live-service studio such as Double Eleven. Hutchinson says that the team that Double Eleven assembled specifically to work on Fallout 76 consists of developers who are deeply passionate about the franchise and excited to work with Bethesda on this project.

Double Eleven also announced its plans to hire more game developers to produce Fallout 76 content in the future. The studio's "Careers" page now lists almost three dozen positions in both UK and Malaysia, with more to come. This should be a huge boon for all of Double Eleven's projects in the long run, as well as for Bethesda. While the game is better today than it was at launch, Fallout 76 can always be improved, and this is the key opportunity to make that happen.

Bethesda's collaboration with Double Eleven could be made even more interesting if there ends up being a new Fallout 76 AMA this year, as some developers already confirmed that they'd like to do it sometime before the end of 2022. Nothing's set in stone at this time, but it very well could happen and shed some more light on how Double Eleven and Bethesda came to work together. In the meantime, players will need to wait and see what Fallout 76 has in store for 2022.

Fallout 76 is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
