Fallout 76 PS4

Rust developer Double Eleven has been signed up by Bethesda to help create further Fallout 76 content alongside the main team back in Rockville, Maryland. Confirmed in a blog post on the company's website, the content the studio has worked on is planned to be released later this year after talks began in "late 2020". Even more content from Double Eleven for the game is also planned.

CEO Lee Hutchinson said: "It’s a privilege to be trusted to work on one of the most iconic franchises in gaming history. The team we’ve assembled to work on Fallout 76 are so passionate about the series, working with Bethesda is a dream come true."

This forms just one part of a "five-year roadmap" Bethesda has for Fallout 76, which will see the title supported for much of the PlayStation 5 generation. Speaking in an interview earlier this month, design director Mark Tucker touched on long-term plans that should dissuade the community from thinking it would be abandoned. "We've got a lot of fun, cool stuff that I can't wait to tell people about. Stuff that's beyond this year." Perhaps some of what Double Eleven has contributed will be part of that future. Maybe a native PS5 version could be on the cards also?

While it did suffer from a terrible launch, Fallout 76 has seemingly dusted itself off and improved vastly in the years since. Are you still playing the online title? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
