Gearbox head Randy Pitchford has revealed that Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will include full crossplay for all platforms at launch.

Making the announcement via his Twitter account, Pitchford praised the “incredible work from the engineers at Gearbox Software”. He also praised the team’s partners at 2K and first parties, specifically, Sony. Pitchford made specific mention of the PlayStation version, as they were the previous holdouts from similar functionality on Borderlands 3.

Pitchford claimed last May that it was PlayStation who had prevented crossplay support for the game in order to pass certification. At the time, neither 2K, PlayStation or Gearbox would offer up any further information as to the whys. However, it seems this won’t be an issue for much longer, as per a response to a fan from Pitchford later in the thread. “The future addition of PlayStation to crossplay for BL3 is now what I would consider to be inevitable. More info to come as soon as we have it.”

Aside from crossplay, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands has spent the last week revealing both the endgame and DLC content for the looter-shooter, with the latter included in the game’s season pass. The game itself launches on March 25 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC.
