THQ Nordic has dropped a new explanation trailer for upcoming open-world RPG ELEX II.
This latest peek affords us an overview of what we can expect when the game arrives this time next week. You’ll start off on the planet of Magalan with basic equipment and abilities. However, you’ll soon build up experience from combat and missions that’ll help you hone your skills. You’ll also be able to find a host of melee and ranged weapons like bows and guns to fight how you want to.
You’ll need them, to face the many alien creatures and invaders on Magalan, drawn in from the sky by the mysterious Elex. To stop you being alone in your fight, you’ll also have to mediate between a number of factions. Siding with either the Clerics, the Berserkers, the Outlaws, the Morkons or the Albs will offer you unique weapons and missions. Some of these will offer missions, perhaps offering a companion or two for a couple of missions.
Then, of course, there’s ELEX II‘s ace-in-the-sleeve, or more specifically on your back. The game’s jetpack starts off as just letting you jump a little higher, but you’ll be able to find resources to upgrade the gear. Do so, and you’ll soon be flying around the map and exploring new heights as you do.
