Bethesda has unveiled 2022’s focus for The Elder Scrolls Online as promised, based around the Legacy of the Bretons storyline.

Legacy of the Bretons will take adventurers to explore the Systres Archipelago. The storyline sees you go up against an order of knights led by a sinister force known as The Ascendant Lord. Players will explore the islands of High Isle and Amenos in a storyline promised to involve “politics, honour, and intrigue.”

The year-long adventure will comprise of four parts, including the first Ascending Tide DLC in March. The main event will be the High Isle Chapter landing in June, followed by two more to-be-named packs in Q3 & Q4. The latter two comprising of a dungeon pack and story pack, respectively.

Ascending Tide will feature two new PvE dungeons for players to take on for up to four players. High Isle meanwhile looks set to include 30 hours of unique story content. It’ll include a new in-game collectible card game known as Tales of Tribute and a new 12 player Trial known as Dreadsail Reef. There’ll be two new companions, Ember and Isobel as well as new world events called Fissures. Adventurers can also expect new Delves, Public Dungeons, World Bosses and a whole bunch more.
