Offering rewards in numerous Ubisoft games, Ubisoft Connect gives players weekly challenges to unlock unique and sometimes beneficial items in its games. Every week, players trekking through the dangerous Norse countryside in Assassin's Creed Valhalla can unlock in-game items by completing the Ubisoft Connect challenges. While the rewards throughout the title's lifespan have been decent, nothing measures up to this week's item: a brand new mythical weapon dubbed the Eclipse Scythe. This weapon is very powerful and may let some struggling with Assassin's Creed Valhalla's leveling system breeze straight through to the end of the game.
The best thing about this ultra-powerful weapon is that it is extremely easy to unlock. The requirement to unlock the scythe is for the Assassin's Creed Valhalla community to kill a grand total of 5 million enemies. That number seems intimidating, but the total was squashed in just a few hours as 31 million foes have been slaughtered by Eivors the world over at the time of writing. All a player simply needs to do is go out into the world, kill one single enemy, and the notification will pop for Ubisoft Connect. Claim the challenge in Ubisoft Connect, and the Eclipse Scythe will be added to the inventory the next time a player-character is in-game.
It is highly recommended one grab this item this week as its special ability grants the player increased critical chance when failing to land a critical hit. This in turn makes the weapon one of the best critical hit weapons in the entire game as the scythe will grant an additional 10 points of critical chance whenever a critical hit is not achieved. Mix this weapon up with some critical damage runes and anyone who is struggling with Assassin's Creed Valhalla will be carving through enemies in no time.
Ubisoft has been consistently adding to Assassin's Creed Valhalla over the past year-and-some-months, with a bunch of additional DLC and two rather lengthy expansions: Wrath of the Druids and Siege of Paris. Now is the perfect time to get oneself back into the grind of Valhalla and experience these two expansions with the trusty Eclipse Scythe. Both expansion stories will be good tools to level up with as the recently announced Dawn of Ragnarok expansion is sure to require a high level and will be one of the largest and lengthiest expansions in the series to date.
Make sure to collect the Eclipse Scythe this week, and if that's not an option, don't fret as the weapon will never be taken away and will be attainable as long as the servers remain on for Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
