Naughty Dog has dropped a launch trailer for next week’s PlayStation 5 release of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection.

Meanwhile, over on the PlayStation Blog the studio has offered some insight into remastering Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy for the new console. “For example, U4 helped us achieve a substantial improvement in almost every aspect of our animation. Our richly detailed cinematics were now able to play real time, which helped pave the way for a seamless experience to and from gameplay.”

“We also layered physics and procedural animations into our animations. All this helped create believable characters, tighter responsiveness, fluidity, and ability to respond to their environment, leading to a groundbreaking moment.”

We’ll get to see all of this with new fancy lighting effects and at improved resolutions. There’s also options to play in 30FPS, 60FPS and even 120FPS for supported screens. That’s on top of the super-fast loading times thanks to the PS5’s SSD. If you’ve never played either game before, you can check out our Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End review here. Alternatively, our Uncharted: The Lost Legacy review is over this way.

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection lands on PlayStation 5 on January 28, so this time next week. The collection will also head to PC at some point later this year.
