Many multiplayer, PvE games such as Destiny 2 will have a hub area for players to travel to, knowing they cannot be shot at or killed. The Tower is the place for Destiny 2 players to interact with vendors, unbox their engrams and generally relax before taking on their next mission or raid.

The Tower in Destiny 2 has been the hub area for fans since the game's release in 2017, and even recently fans have been finding secrets in the Tower. One Destiny 2 player found a secret area by traveling around the Tower back in November 2021. Now though, a group of Destiny 2 players have decided the secrets, raiding, and everything else can wait. Sitting directly in the center of the Tower they decided to start gaming while playing a videogame.

In a video posted to Reddit, just under ten Destiny 2 players can be seen using the "Seat of Power" emote, which can show up to three Guardians sitting on a holographic couch, while holding controllers in their hands. To get so many Destiny 2 players in on what has been termed "the LAN party" was seen by many as evidence of the spirit of the Destiny 2 community. With players sitting on their couches opposite each other as well, it helps to add that extra touch to make the idea that these Guardians are gaming that much more believable.

In the background of the video, fans were quick to spot another highlight, which is one player who is not using the emote, but decides to get in on the joke anyway by running through the middle of the LAN party, acting as if the couches were real. The video garnered a lot of attention on Reddit, leading many to ask how the "Seat of Power" emote can be found. The Destiny 2 emote is part of Bungie's 30th Anniversary Triumphs and can be achieved by completing Dares of Eternity on Legend Difficulty with a Fireteam of 2-4 members.

With The Witch Queen expansion having announced its release date and time, it seems the gamers seen in the "LAN party" video won't have long to wait before they can leave the Tower in search of fresh loot to grab, new missions to complete, and tough bosses to fight. The latest expansion is being eyed by fans as one that could see the deaths of a few characters, and players will be able to find out whether that's the case soon enough.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
