January’s Xbox Game Pass stunners include Danganronpa, Rainbow Six Extraction, Hitman Trilogy

Xbox Game Pass January

What a month

The Xbox Game Pass January additions look pretty crazy, with one new AAA game, one trilogy of AAA games, and several indie hits.

As we knowDanganronpa is arriving on the service, which is one of the most Game Pass-ready games in ages. Not that it’s “only worth playing” on it: far from that! But so many people are probably turned off by the covers of the game (I’ve seen this many times), and maybe have never even heard of it. But if it’s available for free, that’s more eyes on a series that’s been putting in work for a long time.

The other big piece of news is Rainbow Six Extraction, which is reconfirmed as a day-one Game Pass game. It’s the kind of thing that’s also a good Game Pass pick, as it’ll be easier to squad up if more people “own” it. The Hitman Trilogy, another addition we knew about, rounds things out as a pretty packed month of AAA Game Pass offerings, on top of Rainbow Six Siege: Deluxe Edition.

On the other side of the coin, you have the great Nobody Saves the World from Drinkbox, on top of Death’s Door and Windjammers 2. It’s one of the best months for Game Pass on record!
