Minecraft for Nintendo Switch takes No.1 | UK Boxed Charts

It was a very quiet week at UK retail

Minecraft on Switch was the best selling boxed title in the UK for the week ending January 15 -- sales for the SKU increased 112% week-on-week.

It was followed by FIFA 22, which remained steady at No.2 for the third week in a row.

Super Mario Party charted at No.3, growing 386% week-on-week following various retailer sales.

Last week's No.1, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, settled for No.4 with a 38% drop in sales.

Two titles re-entered the charts in good positions this week: Minecraft Dungeons took No.7 with a 387% growth, and WarioWare: Get it Together landed at No.12 with a 465% increase in sales week-on-week. Both were boosted by retailer promotions.

Boxed unit sales across all titles were down 26% week-on-week as the industry is slowly getting ready to a number of big releases in the coming weeks including Pokémon Legends Arceus, Rainbow Six Extraction, and Elden Ring.
