Destiny 2 is no stranger to issues and glitches that break the game in various ways - sometimes with hilarious results, others with players being frustrated because they can't progress the way they'd like to. A month ago, Bungie released the 30th Anniversary Pack DLC, which includes plenty of content for veterans and new Destiny 2 players alike in the form of Dares of Eternity and the Grasp of Avarice Dungeon. When players first logged into the game after the DLC's launch, they were immediately transported to a Dares of Eternity game by Xur, which has been happening for a while now.

The issue is that this is happening for new players as well, and with Christmas just gone by, it's possible that many gamers ended up getting a new console, gaming computer, or even the DLCs necessary to play, and thus joined the ranks of Destiny 2's Guardians. However, new players are way under-leveled and not adequately geared to even attempt to finish a Dares of Eternity run, which often translates into a difficult time for them and a loop many struggle to get out of.

Luckily, Destiny 2's community is stepping in to help those who are stuck in Dares of Eternity, and veteran gamers are purposefully lowering their Light Level to be matched with new players. A Reddit user shared a post explaining why being thrust into a Dares of Eternity run can be a good reason for new players to quit the game, considering they deal close to no damage to enemies, take a lot of damage in return, and they don't even know the mechanics behind tougher opponents, like Champions.

Another Redditor noted that it's becoming hard to even find New Lights to help because so many players are lowering their Power Levels on purpose. Still, it's a good problem to have because it means that the community is indeed helping. Destiny 2 is a rather complex game in and of itself, but it can be even harder for newcomers, especially since the removal of The Red War campaign and the addition of the New Light campaign.

Still, Bungie stated that it's trying to fix this issue, and it is also making a new emblem to award to those who helped and those who needed saving, as a form of compensation and appreciation. Destiny 2 is a game where things can often go wrong rather easily, and a recent funny clip shows a disastrous start to Lake of Shadows GM, which is still better than being stuck in Dares of Eternity as a newcomer.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
