The Grandmaster Nightfall strikes in Destiny 2 can be one of the most difficult activities for players to tackle every week for the promise of high level gear as a reward for muscling through the challenges. These challenges often lead to showings of impressive and flawless Destiny 2 gameplay going viral, but a recent clip from a Grandmaster Nightfall attempt has begun to pick up online for the opposite reason.

Players often rush off from the start of activities like a Grandmaster Nightfall strike in an effort to either skip past some areas, or dig into the difficult parts while momentum is still moving forward. This might be what happened to Destiny 2 player TheMemesAreLIT, who quickly rushed off at the beginning of the Lake of Shadows Grandmaster Nightfall to disastrous results.

In the clip, the player lands into the Lake of Shadows strike and immediately rides their sparrow directly into a tree that otherwise would have been a simple piece of scenery. The result of this crash is that the player spends a total of three seconds in control of their character before immediately dying as a result of this unfortunately placed tree. This means that while Lake of Shadows has Destiny 2's easiest Grandmaster boss, the run was already off to a rough start with one of the limited revives being wasted on this hilariously quick death.

The clip itself is almost rough to watch for anyone who has taken the time to load in an activity like Lake of Shadows only to have the run instantly tainted by a bad start. However, it can still be funny to see this kind off rotten luck hit someone in such a crazy way that even the player had to save the clip and post it online themself. With the gameplay experience of Destiny 2 often being an endless grind for powerful gear with better rolls, this type of humorous moment can be a good break from the rush for more loot.

It can definitely be interesting to see some players show off impressive amounts of skill in Destiny 2, from clutch Crucible wins to melting bosses in strikes and dungeons. That being said, a quality fail like this can be equally entertaining, especially considering how often this happens to most players who run headfirst into danger. There are a lot of things on the many worlds of the Destiny franchise, sometimes including the foliage decorating a space apparently.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
