Assassin's Creed Valhalla Update

Update: Assassin's Creed Valhalla patch 1.041.2 is available to download now on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. It's around 405MB in size, so it shouldn't take long to install. As mentioned below, this update promises to fix the Yule Festival for some players. Said festival refused to activate if you had already taken part in last year's event.

Other Yule Festival progression bugs have also been fixed, apparently.

Original Story: Ubisoft will release a new update for Assassin's Creed Valhalla tomorrow, on the 5th January. The awkwardly numbered patch 1.4.1.2 promises to fix issues with the game's seasonal Yule Festival event, which has been broken for some players since before the Christmas holidays. Not ideal, but at least Ubisoft's getting round to fixing it now that developers are back to work.

Of course, this also means that the Yule Festival will now be extended until late January — the 27th to be exact. Hopefully this means that everyone gets to partake in the celebrations over the next few weeks.

This is Valhalla's first update of 2022, and we're sure that it'll be far from the last. With Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok out in March, Ubisoft wants to keep players busy with another year of content. It probably won't be long until we hear about the game's next major patch.
