Christmas day has arrived both in real life and in-game (well, technical the Feast of Winter Veil in game) for World of Warcraft players, which means it is time for another year of a winter tradition that has existed in the MMO for ages. Once again, Horde and Alliance players are going to be able to head to a capital city and claim a Feast of Winter Veil gift.

Christmas is a pretty low-key day in World of Warcraft in terms of special in-game activities, but it is still an exciting one. Players are able to head to the capital city associated with their faction on the map, find the massive tree, and check underneath for a present. Like usual, the presents mostly focus on collectible items and offer a fun collectible that may not be available any other way.

This time around, the special Winter Veil gift is actually a retro throwback to an early nineties Blizzard project from the Super Nintendo era - Rock n’ Roll Racing. There are a pair of related items that players have a chance to open under the big tree this year and fans of retro gaming are likely going to be extra excited when they see what is under the tree.
