Developer Playbae Games and publisher OverGamez have announced puzzle platformer In My Shadow launches on Xbox from today.

The game promises to take players “on an emotional journey through the mind of Bella in pursuit of reconciliation with her past”. You’ll do this across more than 50 puzzles contained in 4 rooms that contain a glimpse into Bella’s memories. They depict the changing relationships in her family, and you’ll use items to manipulate shadows to solve puzzles and progress.

These puzzles are said to be fairly freeform, with more than one way to solve them. Each room will also introduce a set of different mechanics, twisting things up and keeping you on your toes. In My Shadow also promises a “heart-felt story about Bella’s mental apprehensions, narrated through her childhood memories.”

Elsewhere, we’re should expect melodic music, “refreshingly clever puzzles” and “A beautifully colourful representation of Bella’s house that reflects the individual personalities of everyone in her family.” The game originally landed on PC and Nintendo Switch earlier in the year.
