The Strelak Verso is a special gun for Colt in Deathloop which is both a burst-fire machine gun and dual pistols. It is found only deep inside the Ordnance Depot, which itself is located in The Complex district. In order to reach it, players have to solve a puzzle involving batteries. Having the Strelak Verso makes taking out the more combat-oriented Visionaries in Deathloop easier.

It seems confusing at first, but a quick rundown of what one has to do and the fail states make it quite simple. After looking at this guide, it should be simple for anyone to unlock the gun and add it to Colt's arsenal. Ultimately, you have to use the batteries to activate the vestibules in order to access different areas within the Ordnance Depot. The trick is to not turn them too much so that the batteries run out of juice. Just remember, getting a gun is one part of the equation in Deathloop. Afterward, players have to spend Residuum and infuse the weapon in order to keep it through future loops.

Updated on November 26th, 2021, by Jason Wojnar: Several months after release and Deathloop has solidified its status as one of the most notable games of 2021. It was a bit of a wildcard before September, but it has now managed to become the studio's most popular game. Because of all the newcomers to the genre, some might need a little help getting through some of the more challenging puzzles. Finding the Strelak Verso is optional, but the update clears up some points about the puzzle and obtaining the weapon.

Reaching The Ordnance Depot

Players should receive an Arsenal Lead pointing out where the place is on the map. One has to be there at noon for the door to actually be open. Use the right-side exit of the tunnel and head towards a large underground area (the most obvious entrance is past a turret with several guards patrolling).

Once inside, there is a large room with numerous guards. On the far side of it is a slightly open door with a red x; through here is the Ordnance Depot. Climb the stairs and head through the vestibule.

Battery Locations

Players have to find three batteries. However, one also has to use them in order to reach different areas of the Ordnance Depot. Use them incorrectly or too much and the batteries run out of juice, preventing them from powering the door.

Dropping them in water or damaging them will also destroy them. If this happens, players have to try again on a different loop. Having the Trinket that lets players hack and deactivate mines helps with this segment.

First Battery Location

This is one that is the simplest to find. It is right outside the room with the locked door, powering a light. Players need to take it with them in order to power up a device needed to reach the next area.

Second Battery Location

Upon turning around, players should see a vestibule. Put the battery in and activate it. Leave through the side opposite of the locker room. The second battery is powering a light ahead of Colt. Players don't need this one to reach the third battery, but they should keep track of where it is to not lose it.

Go down this path a little further and there is a door that opens with a red button right next to it. Colt should push the button and this gives him access to the room with the battery slots. This way, players do not need to activate the first vestibule again.

The Third Battery

This one takes a little more effort. From the aforementioned door, players should turn around and head down the stairs. Turn left at the end of the hallway and there is a room with water up to Colt's ankles. Standing here damages him, but with full health, players should have more than enough time to crawl under the small vent, grab the battery, and then return. If the battery falls in the water, it is destroyed.

If players mess up either by destroying a battery or using it too much and killing the juice, they can try again by going into the next loop. Unlike some other side quests within Deathloop, this challenge stays the same regardless of the loop.

Getting The Strelak Verso

With all the batteries found, simply run back to the locked door, put them in, and then press the button. The door will open and the guns are free for the taking. While it is possible to do this during the beginning of the game, players should wait until Residuum and infusion are introduced as mechanics. Otherwise, Colt will just lose the gun once the next loop starts.

The Strelak Verso is a dual-pistol that can turn into an automatic weapon. It is one of the few guns that transforms into a completely different type of weapon with the push of a button. The only risk players run is if Julianna invades and kills Colt before players can infuse the weapon.

Deathloop is out now on PS5 and PC.
