Developer Bad Dream Games and publisher HandyGames have announced music-themed 2D platformer One Hand Clapping will launch on December 14.

The game’s unique twist is that you solve puzzles and interact with the game’s world using your actual real-world voice. You’ll be tasked with singing or humming into your microphone to manipulate platforms and objects in the environment. You don’t have to be a ‘good’ singer either, as the game will gently help you build confidence in melody, rhythm and harmony. You’ll even get to try some beatboxing.

You’ll journey across vibrant landscapes with multiple biomes as you escape the judgmental eyes of Silent City. There’s also a whimsical cast of characters to meet, who’ll assist and cheer you on as part of your journey. The game’s been in early access on PC since last summer, and has already won a bunch of awards. These included the Indiecade Audience Choice Award and an Intentional Play Summit award for Best Student Game.

You can check out a trailer as well as a primer on the game in the pair of videos below. One Hand Clapping will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Google Stadia, PC and Mobile from December 14.
