Gunfire Reborn is locking in a console port and will load up into front rooms sometime in 2022.
Duoyi Network and Control publisher 505 Games have jsut announced a new partnership to bring Gunfire Reborn, the manic FPS that exploded onto screens earlier this year, over to consoles next year. Originally released on PC by Duoyi, the hyper stylized roguelite shooter is set to bring its cache of cartoon characters, incendiary weapons, and roguish charms to a worldwide audience when it fires the first shot and after its reception on desktops, we have some high expectations.
First firing into Steam Early Access, Gunfire Reborn landed around the same time as Void Bastards and this unusually upbeat blaster grabbed ideas from hero MOBAS, FPS game, and roguish looters to blend in a maniacal mix of cute and chaotic. This ability based shooter drops players into a range of handcrafted vaults that come crammed full of ferocious enemies and plenty of loot. However, the way each experience unfolds is tied to a mix of game’s 40+ weapons, 100+ scrolls, powerful inscriptions, and Ascensions. Combined in a particular way this can craft anything from a sharpshooter to a spellcasting mage, each with very different capabilities. Oh, did we mention you and up to three other friends tackle these levels as cute looking animals?
By the time these armed animals fighters reach consoles, there should be tons of content for new conscripts too. The PC version of Gunfire Reborn has also jsut graduated to a full release, launching version 1.0 today with a healthy player base of 2 million sales already under its belt.
