Among Us came out of seemingly nowhere last year, becoming an immense success on Twitch with as many people watching as there were playing. The social game of deduction and subterfuge remains popular, and a whole new audience is about to be let into the crew. Yes, the game finally has a release date on PlayStation 5 and PS4.
You'll be ejecting your enemies and pointing fingers at friends on 14th December 2021.
The game sees an imposter or two blending in with a space-travelling crew, and your job is to either kill other players or eliminate the imposters, depending on your role. With groups of up to 15 players, it can all get pretty chaotic.
When it comes to PlayStation, the game will support cross-play with other platforms, meaning you can play with friends regardless of system. Specific to PS5 and PS4 will be some Ratchet & Clank cosmetic items.

This game is really hard to play without a keyboard. Plus, their servers go down ALL THE TIME due to DDoS attacks.
And like any online game, you get the trolls, friends teaming up, and hackers who make playing impossible.
But...when you do find a good room, it can be a lot of fun to pass the time.
What about voice chat? Won't that help cheating?
Ive been wanting to play this but I fear the game is past its peak now. Doesn't help when other games have now copied the system and arguably done just a good a job (goose goose duck for example).

I don't get why people like this game or why it's important to have it release on consoles. But glad for those that like the game or haven't tried it tho.

@Danloaded @alexbolton2 IMO I wouldn’t pay that, mobile is free, and the switch and PC versions are only $5/4ish pounds, and that’s my guess for PlayStation too.

I think they waited way too long for this port. The last time I heard anything about the game was when Epic copy/pasted it into Fortnite. Maybe this new release will cause a resurgence in its popularity.
Much like fall guys releasing on Xbox/switch I believe the ship has already sailed for these games unfortunately.
I will finally be able to try out this game, since I don't play games on my computer.
I think I'm going to pick this up
