Developer Total Mayhem Games has released a new trailer for co-op puzzler We Were Here Forever alongside initial beta details.

The game is the fourth entry in the team’s We Were Here series. You’ll be returning to the frost-covered boots of the Antarctic explorers from the first two games. The pair now find themselves trapped in Castle Rock by the mysterious Jester. Once more, you’ll have to work together while separated, using an in-game walkie talkie to communicate. Together, you’ll help each other solve your respective asymmetric puzzles.

Before the game’s full release, there’ll be a closed beta on PC. Interested parties can sign up on the game’s official website, and if selected will get to explore one of the seven new areas in the game. They’ll get a first hands-on with some of the game’s early puzzles, and their feedback will help shape the full game. Be aware that you will need a friend and a microphone to take part, of course.

You can check out a brand new teaser trailer for the game for yourself down below. We Were Here Forever is currently pencilled in for a “Q2 2022” launch on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC.
